Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies say three brush fires that occurred Saturday and Sunday are likely going to result in charges vs. the parties involved.

The specific locations of the fires were not released, but Deputies say they were caused by people setting off fireworks in rural areas with brush, and by some target shooters working on their accuracy in the field.

Might not seem like it but target shooting can result in sparks from bullets hitting rocks or other objects, and fireworks, that's kind of a given.

Authorities remind people now that we're into July and August not far off, the annual fire danger is high. Don't be doing any activities in the outlying areas (or elsewhere) that could potentially trigger a fire. More often than not, you're going to be facing the bill for putting it out and possible other charges.
