If you were one of the many who watched him flourish as a Tri-City American, now you can watch him in Sochi!

Price, who tended goal for the Americans from 2003-2007, went on to secure the starting job for Montreal, and has built himself an outstanding career. Price joins Robert Luongo of the Vancouver Canucks, and Mike Smith of the Phoenix Coyotes as the three goalies. Seven other former WHL standouts are also on the team.  They include:

  • Defensemen Jay Bouwmeester (Medicine Hat), Duncan Keith (Kelowna), Dan Hamhuis (Prince George) and Shea Weber (Kelowna).
  • Forwards Jamie Benn (Kelowna) Ryan Getzlaff (Calgary) and Patrick Marleau (Seattle).

8 of the 25 members of the team are from the WHL -- just about 1/3 of the squad. Hockey play begins Feb. 12 in Sochi, Russia, with Canada's first game being Feb. 13 against Norway.
