Former Tri-City Dust Devil National League Player of the Week! (VIDEO)
Many of you watched Charlie Blackmon patrol the outfield at GESA Stadium a few years ago.
Now, he's been named the National League Player of the Week in Major League Baseball! Blackmon, who starred in Tri-Cities for the Dust Devils, was on fire last week, collecting 18 hits, batting .500 and doubled in five straight games, tying a Colorado Rockies franchise record! Blackmon was one of the few players during his time here who was always a threat to hit a ball out of the pitcher-friendly GESA Stadium.
He played in 2008 for Tri-City, then after suffering a foot injury, briefly had a rehab stint with the Dust Devils in 2012 before rejoining Colorado later in the season.
