Following the ruling, social media and news outlets showed chants and speeches by angry teachers outside the courthouse.

Judge Alex Ekstrom granted the ruling sought by the Pasco School District forcing them to return to work from their strike September 8th, Tuesday.

Greg Olson, President of the Pasco Education Association, the teachers union, told teachers who had gathered across the street from the courthouse that the union has not yet decided if they will heed the judge's ruling.

According to sources, Olson said the union officials and representatives will meet and discuss it over the next few days.

Reportedly, contract talks were supposed to begin Friday afternoon.
