It's the first major traffic issue on a rural county road, we're expecting many more.

Franklin County Sheriff's say a partial washout that will most likely get worse has re-routed traffic.

Bellevue Road has crumbled-washed away pavement right near the bridge between Selph Landing and Brewster Roads.

Detours will now take drivers via Glade Road, the detours are clearly marked. Sheriff's urge drivers NOT to go around road closed signs. Not only can you get a fine, you can be held liable for any damage to the road that may occur if you trigger it, AND you could end up damaging your vehicle. This one doesn't look huge...yet. But give it a little rain and bad weather and it could slide away fast.

Just look at what the last bad winter a couple of years ago did to dozens of Benton and Franklin County rural roads.
