Franklin County Sheriffs Seize Nearly 3,500 Pot Plants in Corn Field

One person was arrested and booked into the Franklin County jail in connection with an illegal growing operation.

Tuesday, Franklin County officials raided a corn field in the northern part of the county after getting information about possible illegal pot growing operation.

Authorities said they spotted the plants from the air inside the field. The location of the grow was not released as it is still being processed. Some 3,498 plants were confiscated. The person arrested is accused of growing some 2,500 of the plants.

The identity of the person has not been released.
