In a scene eerily reminiscent of the movie Final Destination, a woman was killed in a bizarre elevator accident in New York.

The New York Fire and Police departments continue to investigate why the elevator rose after the woman’s leg or foot became caught between the closing doors.   Two other people were injured in what authorities are calling a freak accident. The accident occured in what has been described as an older building dating back to the 1920′s, near Grand Central Terminal on Madison Avenue.  Police had initially been told the elevator had fallen, but in fact it went up to the next floor.
