According to the latest Gallup Poll data,  the 11 point and higher leads Newt enjoyed has vanished, to where it's a statistical dead heat with Romney.  While the Gallup information did not speculate as to why this has occured,  most of the swing did not completely go to Romney; rather, much of it was spread out among Backman, Santorum, and Rick Perry, among others.  Gingrich has 26%, Romney 25, followed by Backman, Perry, Santorum, and Huntsman with single digits in terms of  poll support.
