We had the honor of having Washington State Attorney General and GOP Gubernatorial candidate Rob McKenna stop by the Newstalk studios Monday. We sat down with him as he was visiting the Tri-Cities -- one of dozens of campaign stops he is making around the region -- and asked him his thoughts on the big issues facing Washington State and the nation.

McKenna, as attorney general, was one of the first to join the lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare. The University of Washington alumnus won the AG office in 2004 and was easily re-elected in 2008. He has emphasized citizen and consumer protection for much of his term, and has enacted numerous anti-drug initiatives in the state.

McKenna decided to enter the gubernatorial race shortly after incumbent Chris Gregoire announced she would not seek re-election. McKenna is running against Jay Inslee, a former U.S. Representative who also ran for governor in 1996.
