New information unveiled in case of a Granger School District Employee arrested for possession of child porn.

Authorities took 27-year-old Stephen Castilleja into custody in early May, after allegations surfaced he had child porn on his computer. He was detected and arrested by the Southeast Regional Crimes Against Children Task Force. They scan the web, looking for predators and signs of illegal porn activity against minors, among other crimes.

Now, our news partner KNDU-TV has learned Castilleja has a previous criminal history including two charges of child molestation and sexual exploitation of a minor. One of them dates back to 2001 and lasted until 2005, the other was dated 2013.

Both of the children were under 10 at the time. Officials say there's no known correlation between these cases and any students at the Granger School District. He was also a volunteer and former worker at the Prosser Boys and Girls Club.

The club released a statement saying although none of these charges are related to any children at the club, he will no longer be allowed on their property.

Some in the community are questioning how he got hired by the Granger School District, despite his previous criminal backround. He's now in the Benton County jail.
