Hanford Sirens to Sound During Test Thursday, July 18

The Department of Energy will be conducting a test of one of the sirens at the Hanford site Thursday. It is located near the Columbia River, across from the Wahluke Hunting Area.

People within this general area may hear the siren, but no response will be needed. Announcements indicating it's only a test will be broadcast before and after the siren.

The test will occur between 9 and 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18.
