Heart of Air Craft Carrier to Be Buried at Hanford

More Cold War history will be laid to rest at Hanford this month when the nuclear reactors from the aircraft carrier Enterprise begin burial.

The job will take six to eight years. The Navy decommissioned the 51-year-old ship in December. The Department of Energy assigned Hanford the responsibility.
