Now a Richland police update on the man and at least one accomplice who allegedly went into the Richland Fred Meyer store, and after a dispute, set the inside of the store on fire before departing with items he did not pay for.

18-01991 Arson Investigation

9:24 pm a male subject intentionally set fire to items inside the north end of Fred Meyer in Richland. Male is being described as 30-40 year old, with a noticeable accent, possibly Eastern European. Suspect is about 5'10" with a large build. After setting the fire he exited the store without paying for some items and left as a passenger in a light colored, 4-door sedan that appeared to be missing the passenger side rear hub cap.

Fire and detectives are sill on scene investigating the arson and Fred Meyer advises that they will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
