After an investigation and examination of the child, Hermiston police have determined the death of a 4-year-old boy was not related to foul play, but some sort of illness.

According to the Hermiston Herald, last Friday the child, who's name was not released, was rushed to Good Shepard Hospital.  He'd been at the Desert Lanes Bowling Center with his father, he had rushed him there to his mother's workplace from their home when he became sick. Police came to the center and the boy was taken to the hospital.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital, and an autopsy over the weekend showed he had fluid on his lungs from an as yet undetermined illness or issue. Police released the information late this week.

More details will be coming when officials can pinpoint the cause of the fluid in the lungs, they believe some sort of respiratory issue.
