Richland police have broken up what's been described as a 'heroin den' in a prominent hotel.

10am Sunday morning, police responded to the M Hotel on George Washington Way in Richland, over reports of suspicious activity. A patron at the hotel, which had reopened in 2015 after being closed for some time, reported what they believed to be drug activity.

According to KEPR-TV,  Police found seven people in a room and there was extensive evidence of heroin dealing. A heroin 'den' is usually used to describe significant sale, use and other traffic of the drug. Of the 7 people in the room, one was arrested. No information was released about the identity of the arrested person.
