The Washington State Department of Natural Resources has issued high fire danger warnings due to hot dry weather.

Tuesday, the fire danger level went up in Spokane and Lincoln counties. Despite some recent rains, the hot, dry weather has created fire danger, especially in grassy areas in southern Lincoln County.

DNR recently issued a state-wide burn ban in all state-protected lands. Campfires in designated areas within campgrounds are still allowed. The warning will continue until further notice.
