Kennewick police are searching intently for a driver who struck a Kennewick School District bus Thursday morning.

According to officials, the bus was stopping to pick up children with about 25 kids on board when a car rear-ended the bus.

No children were injured, and damage to the bus was slight.

However, the driver of the car didn't wait for police and fled the scene.

Driving infractions involving school buses are nearly twice as harsh as others, especially hit-and-runs. School officials said no children were injured in the accident, according to our news partner, KNDU-TV.
