The 45-year-old man who reported the body in his barn turns out to be the suspect in a murder, or least homicide, near Gleed outside of Yakima.

We reported to you June 6th about a decomposing body found in a barn near Gleed, off the Old Naches Highway. Now, Randy Shea Gardner, the property owner, has been arrested in connection with the apparent shooting death of a man likely over 30 years of age.

The Yakima County coroner says the victim died from gunshot wounds to the leg and head. Our sister station Newstalk KIT-AM reports officials say Gardner is responsible for the death of a person.  Officials did not say how long the body had been there, but when Sheriff's first arrived June 5th after getting the call, they could smell decomposition in the area of the barn where the body was first found.

The investigation continues, Gardner is facing a variety of charges. No other information has been released.
