Kennewick police continue to investigate the theft of two Honda's and an attempt to take a third vehicle.

Tuesday, police found a black 1997 Honda Accord had been stolen from 425 S. Olympia Street, and an attempt was made to take a 2000 Honda Civic a block away. The thief tried to hot wire the Civic, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

An Acura Integra was also stolen from 4903 S. Fruitland the same night. That vehicle is described as a teal green LT model.

According to national auto theft and insurance data, for the last decade Hondas are the most stolen brand in the U.S.

Authorities advise owners of these vehicles -- especially Accords -- to take extra precautions.

Anyone with information on these crimes can provide anonymous tips to Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at 509-586-TIPS.
