Kennewick School District officials say their ambitious $125 million dollar bond is passing after the first day of tabulating, by a margin of 62 percent yes. The above picture is what Kamiakin will look like, part of it, following bond construction.

The bond, which would refurbish Kamiakin and Southridge High Schools extensive, would also completely rebuild a 'brand new' Kennewick High. It would also provide funding for replacing Amistand and Ridgeview Elementaries, as well as build another elementary school for the rapidly growing district.

About 15,000 people voted, according to estimates. There are around 2,000 ballots left to be counted, say officials, but trends indicate it appears it will clearly pass.
