Icy Roads Claim Another Life in Oregon Sunday – Besides Bus Accident
Oregon authorities have released more information about another fatal accident that occurred Sunday morning.
This accident actually happened several hours prior to the tragic bus crash on I-84. Two people were heading eastbound on I-84 east of Stanfield when the driver, 26-year old Timothy Hancock, lost control on ice and the truck slid off the road and rolled on it's top in the median. Hancock's passenger, 69-year old Freeman Glenn Thomason, of Post Falls Idaho, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hancock's injuries were not life-threatening. Hancock was driving a large Ford F-350 pickup, a reminder that regardless of how big your rig is, or even if it's got 4-wheel drive, make sure you use exteme caution - especially on Oregon roads.
