Identity Theft Suspect Arrested in Kennewick – Second Suspect Sought

Like many cases of identity theft, the victim knew the suspects, but this case also involved robbery.

March 17th, Sarah M. Verduzco of Kennewick reported to police she was robbed by two men she knew while she was giving them a ride in her car. She said they assaulted and robber her, taking her purse.

The same day, her debit card was used to make purchases at Office Max, Lowes, Walgreens and Target. Video surveillance footage confirmed the two men who robbed Verduzco made the purchases.

Monday, Kennewick police were able to arrest 23-year-old Tyler Wayne Thomas of Richland.  The other suspect has yet to be located.

Thomas is facing robbery and identity theft charges.
