If you’re an investor, or even just a customer, by the end of 2012 there are several major companies who could disappear into the retail sunset.

Now, these are just ‘projections.’   Things can turn around, surprising things can happen. But according to investment-business experts, these companies could be going belly up, and are not a wise stock investment for one’s portfolio.   Some of the big names include: Yahoo, Kodak, Office Depot, and even iconic American staple Sears. A variety of reasons have led to the demise of these firms, but experts will be closely watching to see if they survive the coming year.  One interesting note: the CEO of Kodak, Antonio Perez, serves as a member of President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.  Kodak in the tank,  Obama’s economic policies–in the tank.
