A former Iraq veteran wanted in connection with the shooting of  a WA Park Ranger has been found dead.

Benjamin Colton Barnes, an Iraqi vet who served there in 2007-08, was originally sought in connection with 4 people being shot and injured at a New Years Eve party in Skyway, in Southern King County. He then was believed to have fatally shot WA Forest Service Ranger Margaret Anderson mid morning on New Years Day.  Authorities now say a body found in a remote are of Mt. Ranier National Park is that of  the 24 year old man.  Wearing only a t shirt and jeans, he was found, according to reports, in a river.  No self inflicted wounds were found, indicating he probably died from exposure overnight.  The 34 year old Anderson was the first WA Forest Ranger to die in the line of duty.
