Unfortunately, the title dreams of the KaHS Braves and Richland Bombers ended Friday night at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma.

First, Kamiakin dropped a 3-2 decision to Mt. Si after Jon Allen was called out at home after barreling over the catcher while trying to score on a fly ball.  Much later after the game, during the post game of the Richland-Bothell game, Newstalk 870 and Washington Sports Network, who were carrying the game, learned because of an undisclosed WIAA rule violation,  the Braves WILL be allowed to play for the third and fourth place titles, BUT KaHS will be without a large number of starters, as a significant number of starters were suspended.  Reserve players will see the bulk of the action for KaHS saturday at 10am

Meanwhile, Richland saw it's pursuit of another title end with a 6-0 loss to a strong pitching Bothell squad.  RHS will play for third and fourth saturday am.   Make sure you tune in at 9:30am Saturday for the WSN prep report on Newstalk 870 KFLD.
