If you drive by Kamiakin High School on Edison, you will see the courts at the school jammed with players, coaches, parents, and lots of cars in the parking lots.

Once again the Washington State AAA (3A) High School Tennis Championships are taking place Friday and Saturday at Kamiakin, featuring the best tennis players in the entire state!

It's rare when athletes get to compete directly on their home turf in  a state tournment, but because of the great facilities and weather, the WIAA (Washington Interscholastic Activities Association) has again chosen Kennewick for the event.

KaHS athletes who are competing include Courtney Hall, Rachel Young, and Colby McMahan. Matches are also being played at the nearby Tri-City Court Club.

Got a little time? drive by and check out these talented kids pounding the fuzzy yellow ball all over the place!  Some of these athletes are nationally ranked in their age catagories.
