While Traffic Jams didn't sustain a lot of damage, AutoShades did in the early Sunday break in.

According to the store owners and police reports, the surveillance cameras from Traffic Jams were able to capture the activity of the two suspects.

They reportedly used the grill from a barbeque outside to smash in a window to gain access to AutoShade's garage. They were unsuccessful, however, in breaching the second wall between the two businesses. They broke through the AutoShades side, but their activity triggered the Traffic Jam alarms in the 5am hour.

But before fleeing, the suspects looted AutoShades, emptying the register, stealing tools and vandalizing and air system. They stole two vans from Traffic Jams stored in the AutoShades garage, filling them with stolen items.

After causing damage driving through the garage doors, the vehicles were late found abandoned.  GPS tracking systems in the units made it possible for police to locate the vehicles.

Reports indicate video and still footage of the suspects will soon be released, probably via Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers. Anyone with any information can report it anonymously by calling (509)-586-TIPS.
