Kennewick Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking 4 Year Old’s Leg in Two Places

Assault charges are being filed against a man who is accused of hurting a 4 year old he was watching.

31-year-old Giovani Nevajas Ledezma is in the Benton County jail after being arrested by Kennewick police.

Earlier this week, a 4-year-old boy was brought to Lourdes Medical Center where he was treated for a leg broken in two places. Because of the nature of the injury officials notified Child Protective Services.

After an investigation, Kennewick police arrested Ledezma and the charges were filed.  Police say he is the boyfriend of the child’s mother, and the injuries occurred while he was watching the child. He is facing 2nd degree assault of a child charges.
