Kennewick Man Jailed on Charges of Child Rape

Kennewick police continue the investigation into potential crimes that go back at least 15 years.

49-year-old Balentine Del Angel of Kennewick was arrested by a U.S. Marshall team Thursday afternoon, according to a Kennewick police report.

A 20-year-old female victim reported to Kennewick investigators June 4 that Del Angel allegedly had been sexually assaulting her since she was 5 years old. The most recent assault occurred in 2009, and the woman had reportedly fathered a child with him.

Del Angel was in hiding but was located by law enforcement. He is currently in the Benton County jail on a 72-hour investigative hold for child molestation, 1st degree rape and incest.
