Kennewick Man Struck By Car Was Walking In Road

The victim remains in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center after the Thursday night collision.

According to Sgt. Ken Lattin, 30-year-old Adrian W. Mountainchief was walking in the Northbound travel lane on Olympia St. near 14th Ave.  As he approached the intersection, he was struck by a Northbound car driven by 36-year-old Brandy Moreno around 9:21pm.

During the preliminary investigation, officers discovered Mountainchief was walking in the travel lane, well away from the sidewalk. He was flown to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. The investigation continues.
