A group of 12-year-old baseball players from Kennewick National Youth Baseball (KNYB) are headed to Moscow Idaho this weekend, in search of a regional title.

The 12-U team won the prestigious Washington State Cal Ripken-Babe Ruth state championship, beating crosstown rivals Kennewick American 18-5 in the title game. The tournament was held in Hoquiam this last Thursday through Saturday.

They will head to Moscow July 18-21. If they win regionals, the World Series for 12-U teams is in Alabama August 2 through 9th. There will be a special celebration at the Kennewick National Youth Baseball campus on 4th Ave. next to Westgate School next Monday evening July 23.

A salute as well to the KN 11-U team, who finished 2nd in state the same weekend.

From 6 to 7pm, the team will be there for the celebration, Dilly Bars for the fist 100 fans who come by. Stop by and wish them well as they head to Regionals. The team members are:
