The death of a 23-year-old Kennewick man has police searching for the suspect.

Gerardo Villamar Jr. was fatally stabbed just before midnight Christmas Eve near East 2nd. and Beech Streets in East Kennewick, and police have released  a composite sketch of the suspect, as well as pictures of the weapons suspected of being used in the murder.  Pictured is the composite sketch of the suspect.

Sgt. Ken Lattin release the following information Tuesday:

"The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, early 20s, light skin tone, 5'10" tall, thin athletic build, short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black and white plaid zippered hooded sweatshirt with a fleece lining, baggy black pants, black “Vans” style shoes with a white sole, a thin gold necklace, and a gold chain hanging from one belt loop to another on his right side."

Lattin said the suspect is believed to have family in the area, or frequents the residential neighborhoods in the area of 1st to 10th Avenue.   He might have sustained an injury to his right rib area during the altercation and police believe he may have discarded the clothing in the description due to blood stains.   They also released pictures of two very unique looking knives found near the scene.

Anyone with any information is asked to confidentially contact Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at (509)-586-TIPS.   Information leading to the apprehension of a known suspect can result in a cash reward.   Pictured below are the two knives found near the scene.
