Kennewick Restaurant Armed Robbery Suspect Jailed

One of two suspects wanted for punching and robbing a man outside a Kennewick restaurant Saturday night is now in custody.

Saturday night, police were called to the parking lot of the La Placita Mexican restaurant at 5011 West Clearwater in Kennewick for a report that two suspects punched and assaulted a man before taking his wallet and cellphone.  The two suspects punched the man and threw him against a car before robbing him, then fled.

The suspect was able to give a good description of the suspect vehicle, a gold Oldsmobile Aurora and the complete license plate.

Sunday night, officers were able to locate and arrest 25-year-old Oscar Rivera. He's in the Benton County jail on First Degree Robbery charges.

The second suspect is still at large.
