Kennewick Suspects Sought in Facebook Fraud Scheme

Kennewick police are seeking two suspects in connection with a Facebook fraud scheme, that took money from a woman.

Police said the woman pictured, Krysten Mashburn, reportedly sold a gift card to a victim by way of the local Facebook Buy, Sell and Swap feature.

Mashburn then contacted the victim and asked if she would like to buy another. The person agreed, and paid $60 for what was supposed to be a $100 card.  It was delivered by the man pictured in this story, his name is not known.

When the victim went to use the card, she discovered it had zero balance, had never been activated so it could be used, and it was stolen.

Police say if anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Mashburn or the male associated with this crime, call (509)-628-0333. They also urge citizens to be very careful when utilizing buy or sell pages on social media and Craigslist.
