According to official court documents, a former Kennewick educator did have sexual relations with a student, and will go on trial May 15. She made a court appearance in Benton County Superior Court Thursday.

KEPR-TV Action News reports Toni Ann Reiboldt is officially facing three counts of talking to a minor for immoral purposes, and one count of third degree rape of a child, as the person was a minor.

Reiboldt was suspended then terminated from her position as math and P.E. teacher at Horse Heaven Hills Middle school in South Kennewick last year after an investigation showed she'd allegedly been using the social media platform Snapchat to send naked pictures of herself to at least four students. She had been with the district since 2003.

It is believed the person in question she allegedly had relations with was a former student, but still a minor. The district investigated after hearing rumors and information circulating among students that the sexually related social media activity was going on.
