Kennewick Thieves Steal Huge Potato Scale – The Question Is, WHY?

Huge potato scale stolen in Kennewick

Because of the struggling economy, we heard about copper thefts, especially from construction sites, and irrigation setups.  But a potato scale?

Kennewick police and Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers are search for a thief, or more likely, thieves, who stole a large potato scale from Baker Produce at 212 Railroad Ave. last Sunday, between 5-6 pm.

The large  4-foot-by-4-foot scale  is usually only moveable by forklift, or multiple (very strong!)  people.   Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who might have information to provide an anonymous tip at 509-586-TIPS (8477).  Information leading to the arrest or apprehension of a suspect can result in a cash reward.
