It's always a good idea before letting the kids Trick-or-Treat to visit the sex offender registry and know where offenders live. If a neighborhood has a large number, it might be a good idea to skip that block.

These lists are maintained by law enforcement. Offenders are instructed not to participate in activities like Halloween, but just in case you may want to be aware.

If you can, Trick-or-Treat with your kids. Make sure they follow traffic safety rules and carry a flash light. Inspect all their candy once they're home. The parent tax is optional.
