The Tri-City Americans and Spokane Chiefs, in partnership with their flagship television stations KVEW/KXLY and KHQ/SWX, announced today a joint agreement on a broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2011 Western Conference Semi-Finals, best-of-seven playoff series.

The schedule includes live coverage of Game 1 at Veterans Memorial Arena and Game 4 at Toyota Center. Play-by-play voice Jay Stewart and color analyst Kevin Sawyer will have the call for Game 1, with KVEW-TV’s Kevin Uretsky providing on-ice commentary. For Game 4, Uretsky will call the action alongside color analyst Grant Linnen.

“We’re excited about this partnership between our franchises and broadcast partners and are thrilled that fans in both markets will have the opportunity to watch,” said Americans’ Sr. VP of Business Operations, Brian Sandy. “This promises to be yet another classic series in this ongoing rivalry.”

Tri-City will match-up with their long-time U.S. Division rivals, the Spokane Chiefs, in the second round, best-of-seven series. It will be the first time the two clubs have met since their classic 2008 Conference Finals meeting, where the Chiefs advanced to the WHL Championship after winning the series 4 games to 3.

The series will kick-off at Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane, starting with Game 1 on Saturday, April 9th. Tickets for Games 3 and 4 at the Toyota Center are on sale now through all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Toyota Center box office, all Fred Meyer outlets, or online at ticketmaster.com.
