According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), gas prices will dip below $3 a gallon in most of the country and that will result in more travel.

Nationwide, holiday travel will increase by at least 3 percent on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

The national average for gas is $3.21 per gallon -- 21 cents lower than this time last year.   As of this writing, November 22, gas prices in the Tri-Cities were as low as $3.09 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

Pasco prices were $3.11 per gallon. Richland weighed in at $3.09. The highest prices in Kennewick were listed as $3.35 per gallon.
