Authorities now say the man who hit a Hermiston School Bus Wednesday is in custody, turns out he was wanted on other charges.

Around 7:30 am, a black SUV plowed into the back of a bus near West Sunland and SW 11th street. The vehicle fled the scene. Fortunately no one on the bus was hurt other than being shaken up.

Police were able to get a description of the vehicle, which led them later in the day to Sunshine Court, where they arrested 34-year-old Ronald Raymond Epperson. Turns out he was being sought on a probation violation, failure to appear in court, and driving on a suspended license. He will also face charges of hit and run. He's being held on $25,000 bail.
