Man Arrested in Oregon on Alleged Kennewick Teen Rape

21-year-old Jorey Murray is in an Oregon jail on 3rd Degree Child Rape charges after an investigation showed he'd allegedly had sex with two 15-year-old girls.

Police got a tip Murray was having, or attempting to have, an inappropriate relationship through social media with a 15-year-old girl. The police investigation showed Murray's sexual contact occurred in December of last year and January 2016.

Authorities said he would seek out younger girls online, especially Facebook, friend them, and by way of private messages gain their trust and start the inappropriate dealings.

An arrest warrant was issued, but by then Murray was believed to have gone to Oregon. He was located, and Clackamas County Sheriff's assisted Kennewick police in arresting him. He's facing at least three such charges, and police believe there may be even more victims.  He will be extradited to Benton County to face the counts.
