Investigative efforts have apparently led officials to believe a Kennewick man's use of tequila and Oxycodone led to his death Sunday.

Paramedics, according to the Tri-City Herald, spent some 40 minutes trying to revive Ismael Alejandro Rivera Perez, but were not successful.

Emergency crews responded to the 7800 block of West Deschutes to try to revive him, officials were led to believe he consumed an entire bottle of Tequila then crushed and snorted the narcotic. Officials didn't say how large the bottle of alcohol was, or how many pills he crushed and snorted.

An autopsy is planned to officially determine the cause of death.
