This is a tough call.  On one hand, when you read the sign seen in the picture, you feel pity. But then when you see the drug paraphernalia and other items, you might not.

Early Tuesday morning, Pasco police were called to the Jack In The Box restaurant at Road 32 and Court Street, for a report of a man found passed out in his booth.

The man, 55-year-old Bennett Ross Johnson, was found unresponsive at first, and there was a drug needle sitting on the table in front of him. Upon investigation, police found a black tar-like substance that was likely heroin, and other drug related items, plus the knife.  Police were able to wake him.

He was also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant. Police said he is a transient. He was arrested and booked into the Franklin County Jail on charges of unlawful possession of heroin.

When you read the sign he had with him, then consider the warrant and the drugs, are you less likely to feel pity for those people you see on the street corners or side of the road holding similar signs?
