A Renton, Washington, man serving life in prison for a double-murder has died.

Washington State Penitentiary officials say 28-year-old Michael Chadd Boyson died March 18th.  He was returning to his cell after taking a shower, and passed out.   Medical personnel were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead.

His death continues to be investigated, officials did not offer any other details.  Boyson was found guilty of the strangulation death of 82-year-old Robert Taylor, and 80-year-old Norma Taylor in their home in Renton in 2013.  He killed them after they had picked him up from jail after completing a previous prison sentence for robbery.

Boyson had served the first 16 months of two consecutive life sentences without parole in Walla Walla.
