Man Settles Dispute by Shooting Rival in Leg

Two men were involved in a dispute in Hermiston Wednesday morning, with one of them ending up getting shot.

Around 8:15am Hermiston police were notified of a dispute between the two men, who apparently knew each other. The result of the dispute was one getting shot in the leg.

After coordinating with Umatilla Police, the two were taken into custody aroun 9:30am. One of them was sent to the hospital, while the shooter was arrested.

Little other information was made available, the investigation continues. Several search warrants have been issued for addresses in the city, for evidence collection.
