After Moses Lake police raided a home in the 9800 block of NE Maple Drive on a drug bust, they left something behind.

An 8-year-old boy tripped over a fully-loaded automatic weapons clip on the floor of his home. The Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement team had served a warrant and raided the home after getting an alleged tip that the primary occupant was in violation of medical marijuana laws. The female resident was thought to be possessing and or selling marijuana, and having more than she was allowed.

After a search, police found her to be in compliance with proper documentation. But on the way out, the police team dropped the clip.

A Spokane television station, after learning of the clip, called the Moses Lake Police Department, who came and retrieved it. Whoops! What a lovely parting gift!
