This story reads like a scene from a bad movie. A Moses Lake man was enjoying an evening with his "girlfriend" when her "ex" known as Matthew Collins shows up with a baseball bat. Collins reportedly started banging on their door telling the victim to come out and face him. Then Collins opened the door and entered the victims trailer holding a baseball bat. He allegedly muscled the man to the back of his trailer and held the bat near his throat before forcing the victim outside. In fear of being run over, the victim ran back inside, got his gun and fired it into the air. Collins then drove off through a fence because he thought he was being shot at.

Matthew Collins, is now facing charges of to second-degree assault, second-degree malicious mischief, and second-degree criminal trespass which he pleaded not-guilty.
