After concerned neighbors called police, officers found Danae Suhr sitting on a curb in a park and asked what was going on. She had taken a little boy and said it was because "we are at war" and was unable to focus on the officer's questions, rambling about her own children in Tri-Cities.

When the police asked the little boy what happened he said that Suhr went up to his grandmother's door and knocked, when she didn't answer she walked up to the little boy, took his hand and said "Let's go." She walked him to a Circle K, then a park.

She was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 12 months in community custody.
