Authorities continue to investigate a death at Spokane County Raceway Park Saturday.

A motorcycle group was performing a stunt show Saturday evening when one of the riders, a 51-year-old male, crashed following a double-jump.

According to witnesses and the Spokane County Sheriff, the rider's throttle apparently stuck as he was turning around after landing the stunt. The cycle raced across the track, became airborne, and the rider was sent tumbling. He apparently landed on his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the rider has not been released. It is not known if the reportedly sanctioned event was officially part of the SCRP schedule, or if the track was being used by the stunt group.
