A recent visit to the US-Mexican Border by Department of Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano is being viewed two different ways.

The Obama Administration says it underscores their desire to secure and defend the US border; critics say it was a "photo-op"--just another attempt to make citizens believe they take border security seriously.  Representative Tom Tancredo (R-Colorado) who has been perhaps the most outspoken and toughest critic of the Administration on border security, again this week called for Napolitano to resign.  Despite her claims of increased efforts at border security,   incursions into the US by hostile drug cartels and other non-friendly elements are increasing, as are fatalities suffered by US ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Agents as well as Border Patrol officers.
